To fully deliver on the services we provide, all SEO agencies must keep on top of Google’s algorithm updates. The problem is, nobody knows if they even exist. Or at least they’re never confirmed. The big G never officially announces any updates they make to their search formula, however, On March the 12th they tweeted this:
This vague tweet could mean almost anything, from a small change to help tackle dodgy backlinks to a full blown replacement on how Google works. Cited as a “broad algorithm update”, Many website owners have said that they have noticed their ranking results have taken a hit on the search engine results pages (SERPs if you ever wondered what SEO people shorten that to)
If you have recently seen changes to your website’s position then this may infact be the cause of it. The big G has commented that if your webpages have seen a drop in rankings that it may not mean that your content is bad, but instead the update was focusing on promoting websites which may not have been receiving the credit they were owed.
